Do you love being at the forefront of change? Then join the team!

United Repair Centre is growing, so we are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development intern to support us!

Who we are & What we do

United Repair Centre is a B2B repair business for fashion brands to put repair on the map while creating social and environmental impact collectively. The United Repair Centre has outdoor brand Patagonia as its founding partner, providing integrated clothing repair and resale solutions for fashion, apparel and workwear brands that want to create positive environmental impact and local employment opportunities for people with a distance to the labor market at the same time. We strive to make it easy for leading apparel brands in Northwestern Europe to achieve their circularity goals. We do so by offering high-quality repair services and finding recycling outlets for garments that can’t be repaired.

At the same time, we create a positive social impact by providing training and employment opportunities to newcomers with refugee backgrounds, young adults and other people who face difficulties in accessing the labor market. We demonstrate that it is possible to change the clothing industry by putting people first while creating value with textiles that otherwise would be wasted.

What will the Business Development Intern do?

Your tasks will be a mixture of hands-on work, project management and research work.

  • Project Management; owning, managing and assisting in the planning of different projects

  • Market research (international expansion, focus on the new United Repair Hub)

  • Working on Impact measurements (collecting data; e.g. by extending the lifetime of clothes what will be saved?)

  • Standardize our process (working on a manuals for our next hub)

You will work closely together with Paul Kerssens (COO) and Hanni Larma (Head of Partnership Manager). The final tasks and planning will be set together with Paul en Hanni.

What do we offer?

  • An inspiring international group of colleagues all willing to share their knowledge and learn from you

  • Space for your input

  • Insight into the way of working of a social organization

  • 300,- Euro per month compensation, based on a 5-day working week
