Are you eager to help improve and digitize day-to-day operational processes? Do you want to help build a platform that reduces waste, empowers people, and rewires the fashion industry for good? And are you looking for an internship where you can truly make an impact while learning from an experienced, mission-driven team?

Then join United Repair Centre as our Digital Product Owner Intern – Operations, and help us rebuild and elevate the digital backbone of our circular production ecosystem.

About United Repair Centre

At United Repair Centre we consider ourselves to be social pioneers on a mission to repair the clothing industry, by putting people first, one garment at a time. We have three main goals in doing this:

Goal 1: To create job opportunities for people distanced to the labor market

Goal 2: To reduce textile waste

Goal 3: Do it at scale to really change the system

We work with global brands to provide life-extension services such as Repair, ReNew, and ReMake programs. These programs not only help brands achieve circularity goals but also reduce waste and create meaningful jobs for skilled craftspeople.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Digital Product Owner Intern to join our Product team. In this role, you will support the development and rebuilding of our operational platform. You will work closely with the development team to increase efficiency, improve productivity, reduce costs, and digitize manual processes.

Alongside operational focused projects, you will also contribute to wider tech initiatives, gaining exposure to digital product development across multiple areas of the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in defining and documenting requirements for the rebuild of our operational platform.

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and operations teams to translate business needs into digital solutions.

  • Analyze current operational processes and identify opportunities for digital transformation, creating in depth process mapping.

  • Support backlog management, sprint planning, and progress tracking with the development team.

  • Contribute to general product team activities including user research, testing, and documentation.

  • Research and propose digital tools that enhance operational capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently studying in a relevant field (e.g., Business Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Software/Systems Engineering, Product Management, or similar).

  • You’re interested in the intersection of tech + operations.

  • You understand the basics of how systems talk to each other (APIs, databases, architecture knowledge is a plus).

  • Analytical thinker with an interest in process improvement and digital transformation.

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for circular economy solutions and sustainable fashion.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams.

  • Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Start date to be agreed upon; early 2026 is our preference.

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on experience working on a large-scale digital transformation project.

  • Exposure to product ownership practices, from requirement gathering to delivery.

  • Insight into operational systems and technology in the clothing industry.

  • Experience in a fast paced, growing startup environment.

  • An opportunity to make an impact.

  • Compensation of 300 euros monthly

  • Mentorship and guidance from an experienced, mission-led team

  • A friendly and inclusive working environment (with very good lunches)
